A Children's Performer
Alex Mahé has been entertaining children since he himself was a child. His love of music, children, and performing eventually turned this hobby into a full-time obsession -- one that on stage, becomes contagious.
For over two decades, Alex's talent and enthusiasm has captivated audiences from Montana, Inuvik, Vancouver Island, Ontario to Quebec. His uninhibited
personality and warm rapport with children encourages young volunteers to share the spotlight on stage and participate in the fun. Alex emphasizes audience participation, allowing the
spectators to get into the spirit and content of his songs.
A former early childhood educator, Alex has devoted his life to bringing smiles to
little faces and to reaching out to children through his music. Aside from live
performances, Alex also strives to achieve these
goals through the songs found on his family CDs. The Best of...Alex Mahé's Goodtime Train, Railroad Rendez-vous,
and Zim Zam Zoom. These albums contain familiar and original favorites in both English and French. His fourth, Maïs Soufflé, was recorded entirely in French whilst his latest,
Wakin' Up The Sunshine, is an English compilation.
With guitar in hand, Alex Mahé is available to entertain at festivals, schools, and corporate events. He believes in the "learning through play" concept as he plays his trade in either language and promises to provide a wonderfully entertaining show for the young and the young at heart!
